A 4BHK apartment is reworked into a 3BHK home for three generations, with the primary suite and children’s spaces brought closer together. The planning is shaped around how the family actually lives, with cooking, gathering, hosting, and spending time together becoming an important part of the house.

The kitchen is always in use, so rather than hiding it away, it is made an active part of the home. Two openings connect it to the living and dining areas, allowing people to move through it easily when both doors are open. The kitchen, with its green cabinetry and handmade tiles, becomes a backdrop to the everyday life of the house.

At the center is a custom ten-foot dining table finished in Zellige tiles and framed in wood. It is the heart of the home, bringing the family together for everyday meals as well as larger gatherings.

The interiors are intentionally eclectic, bringing together wood, patterned textiles, handmade tiles, wallpapers, art, and objects collected by the family. There is no attempt to impose one particular style on the house. Instead, each generation is given the freedom to bring something of their own into it.

The house is designed to feel lived in, collected, and personal. It is not meant to feel finished but to keep evolving with the family over time.

What the client had to say….

“We had a really great experience working with Chinmay and Noopur from Projects 3.14 on our home.

Chinmay is very technically sound and, more importantly, has a great understanding of what works practically. He handled the different agencies and vendors really well and was always there to make sure things were executed properly.

Noopur has an amazing eye for design and was involved in all the little details. She helped us with everything from the bigger design decisions to choosing artefacts, accessories, and even cutlery! Her inputs made a big difference to how the house finally came together.

What we really liked was how involved and approachable both of them were throughout the process. They understood what we wanted and helped us create a home that is not just beautiful but also very practical and truly feels like ours.

We’re really happy with the end result and would definitely recommend Projects 3.14.”
